I have decided to do the following drafts on various topics but my favorite has to be the Ghibli Anniversary concept (the second one) and the interactive Earth Day logo. Regardless, here are the concepts in order:
Sorry for the terrible scans. ): Click to enlarge them!
1- Ghibli Anniversary - I wanted to make a tribute to the famous Ghibli studious and try to incorporate as many of their famous titles into the logo. I haven't decided whether I want it to be interactive or more so focused on illustration for this one, I'm leaning towards the illustrative however.
2. Ghibli Anniversary (2) - This is the second concept where I wanted to incorporate Totoro's tree as the foundation of the logo. I want this to be interactive in a sense that you're able to navigate the swinging motion of the Totoro with the use of the mouse, I think that would be really cute.
3. Pixar Anniversary - (I'm really into animation, can't you tell? ): ) I want this to be yet another illustration of the Pixar studios starting from their first film ending with the most recent.
4. Earth Day - Energy Saving - I like this idea as well, I want it to be interactive in a sense that when the user turns off all the lightbulbs the last lightbulb will turn into a heart, hoping to spread the word of saving energy!
5. Katamari Day - Not sure if many of have you played this, but it's a really strange japanese game where the character (refer to the poorly drawn one in my picture) rolls up anything and everything. This was a huge hit in Japan and I thought it would be a really neat idea having the user roll up the letters of Google with the ball.
6. Single Awareness Day- Thought this was a pretty silly and cute concept. It's a simple illustration so far of a person looking out sadly and enviously at the google letters embracing one another.
7. Mario Theme Anniversary - This would be another simple interactive piece where the user navigates Mario through each letter to the Flag.
8. Minecraft Anniversary - Yet another game, not sure if many of you know this but it's basically a building/crafting game with adventure packed into it. This would be interactive in a sense that the user compiles each "block" into the letters and have the infamous "creeper" (from the game, yes that's what it's called) blow it up at the end- which is what tends to happen when playing minecraft. ):
