New doodle - Mary Poppins

I'd love some feedback on my new doodle !!!
I am aware that the music is off and that it's not quite centred. i'm working on that :)
But anything else ???

ps sorry about the link I had trouble posting it on the blog :(

Houdini...

Hey!
So, This week I spent most of my time trying to learn flash and managed to animate something super basic...but it will well-drawn and animated more smoothly!
Here's the link....absolutely no making fun of me:)

http://webspace.ocad.ca/~lg10ic/
1. Bakery day, i will try to make this as animation, the chef will move.
2. Photo day, this is my second idea, photo day.

story boards

so im still in the process of figureing out exactly how i want my stop motion / GIF to look like . just having a couple of issues with how to spell google with my spaghetti !! ne suggestions?

Negin Project 3 Part 2

These are my finalized ideas. I am stuck between the rolling katamari and the light bulbs in terms of which ones I want to animate. And I really want to illustrate the Ghibli Totoro anniversary but I am indecisive if I wish to animate it (in terms of the swing, leaf, wind blowing etc. )

Ghibli Anniversary - Totoro's Tree

Earth Day - Google Light Bulbs (animated --> turns on and off, heart at the end when user turns them all off)
Katamari Anniversary (Namco Anniversary) --> Ball rolls up google letters

Beer and Toilets

Sooooo i think I'm finally settled between these two ideas, even though the bubble wrap is kinda in the back of my mind but each would have little animations and noises to go along with them!

On 4s or 2s?

I approached This assignment a little bit different Im doing them by parts and submitting them to you guys to critique so that by the time the final is done i'll have a full blown hand drawn animation movie.

My Idea was for the aniversary of the cartoon that it be a very surreal and and cartoony animation about a group of dressy animals waking from a nap and strolling to a ginormous CRT TV. It starts out like a draft of line art, but as the sun shines colour comes in and they come alive. Subtly or blatantly I'll put google into everything much like the queen google animation. The characters will start and end in the shape Google.

Later today I'll upload the background animation

I already started doing some of the more intensive stuff such as the character designs and prepping them for animation. I need an opinion from you guys Would it be better to have the cartoon animals walk on two legs or have them be them selves and walk on all fours? I want to get this out of the way so that i can draw them properly like the giraffe down there.

this is the style i most likely do it in.

I didnt get far on this one but Its my fall back plan if the animation takes too long. Im still playing around the flamigo and the g to look more like a g.

No Shoes Day (part 2)

I’ve chosen to do “No Shoes Day” as my day and I already posted a test video yesterday.  Now I have a few ideas as to where the movie is going to end.

My original idea was to end over a chalk drawing of the logo Google.  This idea I still like because it’s simple and still carries the message of going on adventures outside without wearing shoes.  The camera angle wouldn’t have to change and the flow would be maintained.  This is still a front-runner.
Two other ideas involve foot prints.  I’m not sure how much I like these ideas because it feels too beachy.  You know, running in the sand, the sound of water… this isn’t what I want to portray.  When I thin of no shoe day, I think of the eccentrics of the urban landscape flaunting their weirdness by rejecting shoes.  At the beach, no one wears shoes.  It was good to experiment with, but I will not be using these ideas.
My 4th idea is a lineup of bare feet that have the Google logo painted on.  I sort of like this because it implies community and togetherness – like if you were to leave your shoes at home for the day, you wouldn’t be alone.  Also, it’s nice that 3 people have enough feet to cover all the letters in the word G-O-O-G-L-E.  I don’t love the idea, but it could work.
My last idea is completely different.  Instead of feet, the logo would be painted on a selection of shoes (that I’d have to get at Value Village or someplace inexpensive.)  And instead of the long adventure movie I had planned, instead, I’d just film a pair of bare feet walking past all the shoes.  I do like this idea.  It’s so easy and effective.  In the end, I may be leaning towards this idea – so long as I find these shoes to paint.  Maybe I could do something digital?  I’ll play around.
Leanna.

How To Train Your Dragon

The day I decided to do was the day when How To Train Your Dragon, the movie, was released.

1. In this design I took the six main characters and their dragons and shaped them into the letters. In this image small things will be moving around like wings flapping, smoke and fire swirling, characters swaying, etc.

2. In this design a dragon will fly around the google logo before blowing fire onto it. When the smoke clears, instead of the letter google, the characters will be standing in their place instead and/or key objects and places from the movie.

3. In this design the dragon Toothless will attempt to smile and when he shows his teeth, the letters of google will be in the places of the teeth. (This was a scene from the movie)

4. In this design, viking ships will be sailing about with dragons hovering over them. Then fog will blow through and when it clears, google will be made out through the leftover fog. The waves, dragons wings and viking ships will be animated.

5. In the movie Hiccup, the main character, writes and illustrates a book on dragons. In this design the dragons will make up the letters of google but the layout will be formatted like that in Hiccup's book. In the animated version, the person can click open the book and flip through on the information on the dragons. Then when closed, the google logo will appear with the font that the movie title used.

Tetris (in the making)

tetris

So I was just experimenting how I'd execute the Tetris pieces and the background on Flash and I exported what I had and converted it to a .gif which distorted the quality of the animation (although now it really does look old school, doesn't it?)
There is a start button that flashes at the beginning that I may or may not make interactive so viewers could click start to play. Other than that, I've realized I need to make the stage of the animation longer or make the Tetris pieces smaller to fit all of Google.

Ruffs.

Here are my oh so awesomely rendered preliminaries for my two choices I'm trying to work with for the final. Hope you guys dig it.

(now some gifs)

I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out dreamweaver!
my webspace images won't show up :(

Buddha's Birthday

Old Cartoon day

So these are the two ideas I'm running on and these are more finalized drawings, I haven't decided the colour of the one on top, but I have a general idea of what I want.

As for cartoons... because they're characters from someone else's works, if I run with this idea I'm going to try it out on flash and if that fails I'll still have my illustration to fall back on =D

^ the writing in there says
Felix basically will pull other characters out of his mysterious bag that fits everything

I've also switched the characters in this drawing

Not sure what character I want to work with if I go with this idea...

Felix, Stimpy and the charcter from " The Busy world of Richard Scarry" and probably Cybersix are the characters that will still be there

Feedbacks are welcome =DD

I swear, I think my indecisive-ness will be the death of me.
I have three ideas. Each of which have one static and one animation idea (just in case I dont have enough time to do the animation)

First idea is Guy Fawkes Day "remember remember the fifth of November". V for Vendetta. You know, the whole shebang. For the static, I would just be using the Guy Fawkes Mask, and using the eyes of it to replace the 'o''s. The animation for this is alot more fun. It's a dynamite wick that bursts into flames. The flame leads to barrels of gunpowder. The barrels explode to reveal the 'Google' image. As time passes, the Guy Fawkes mask slowly appears behind Google. Sound effects will hopefully be included.

Second idea is once again Wonder Woman. The static image is Wonder Woman riding an invisible 'Google' sign, with an outline of a plane around her. The animated version of this has the invisble plane flying across the screen with blue, red and yellow streaks coming from behind it. Ultimetly, these streaks with fill up the whole page, and then fade to reveal the 'Google' image. Then, Wonder Woman ghetto stomps down from the sky, and stands ontop of the two o's.

Third and final idea is National Kissing day (Cute, right?) The static image will just have the two o's replaced with a lipstick speared 'x' and 'o', while the 'g' looks like a rose, the 'l' looks like lipstick, and the 'e' looks like a red lipstick mark. The animated version of this will have red lips coming towards the screen. As it approaches, it kisses the screen, only to then explode into amillion litter heart to spell out 'Google' OR as it kisses the screen, and then fades away, it leaves a 'Google' image impress because of the 'lipstick'.

Letting me know which one is your favourite would be AWESOME/I would love you forever!
Thank you! Have a good night everyone! <3

Progress so far

So I've posted what I've animated so far, I think that this portion will be the end of the main video, since it ends with the "Google" logo.

I've uploaded the video onto my webspace so here's a link :) It includes sound which I think makes it...so turn up those speakers.

I think i'm going to work with this idea (A day of Silence)... or the spider one (Louise Bourgeois Day) For both of them, I'm not sure if I necessarily want to incorperate the google colors into it, cause its a bit too much... and i wanted to present a more serious tone. eyyhh, iuno. Oh if i create one as a stop motion thingy, im most likely going to end up doing the other one as an illustrated piece

Lewis Carroll's 180th Birthday doodle

So I've worked on creating my Lewis Carroll's birthday concept and got this. Then I experimented with colour...
Then colour and composition...
The colouring is just basic and clearly not the neatest yet but it is still a work in progress. Also, the cheshire cat proved to be more difficult to draw than I thought...he'll definitely need some refining.

Any suggestions to improved would be loved!

Thanks guys,

Julie

Progress w Stuff Yourself With Pillsbury Day

Link to webspace (Have not really figured out how to put the video on the page yet :P)

So I was making some Oreo-stuffed chocolate chunk cookies over the weekend with my sister (I know, right?) when I realized, instead of fumbling with my camera over the stove trying to make pancakes in my awkwardly-lit kitchen, I could make a stop-motion animation with Pillsbury cookie dough instead! And thus I have changed my 'day' to Stuff Yourself With Pillsbury Day.

I put together the 'rough draft' video (not sure if it'll be easier to just make a gif for the sake of putting it on the webpage? Am unsure about these things)... I'm hoping these images are final, I just need to fix timing/colours/orientation, clean things up... Hopefully things are almost on their way.

Thanks in advaaance for any feedback :-)
Nina

No Shoes Day

So, I just did a little fooling around with iMovie.  I'm going with the "no shoes day" theme.  I also learned a few things...

1- I'm going to probably use my friend's feet.  It's unnecessarily hard to take pictures of your own feet AND walk around.

2- I'll need more frames per second so it doesn't look so choppy.  But like I said, taking pictures of your own feet is difficult, so this problem will be solved with someone else's feet.

3- I might just go for a video instead of a stop motion.  I'll try both - the pure video will be my fallback.

Also, here's a link to my webspace

Doodling away :)

So here's a link to my Google homepage and my first attempt at animation. It needs some work and some insightful critiquing, however, it's a starting point, so I hope everyone can help me improve my design to the best of my animating abilities.

Iterations~

Decided on the frogs for copywrite purposes, (if I wanted to use it in the future, etc) and for a chance to create something original.

Not sure about colours yet / design.

Google Doodle Roughs

These first two ideas above are both for Keith Haring's birthday, a pretty well known Pop artist. He's famous for drawing a lot of these simple figures so I manipulated their bodies into forming the word 'Google'. In the final I would create two frames and you would see the second as you hovered over each letter, making it appear as if they're dancing. With my second idea I went with what would be a static image and incorporated his 'Heart No. 1' into the logo.

All the next few were based off of Starbucks' anniversary. The first would be animated or interactive where the coffee beans would wiggle. The last two are static images with the Starbucks coffee cup incorporated into 'Google'.
